How it works

From booking to return

Renting takes about five minutes online and about twenty minutes at pickup. Here's what to expect.

  1. Reserve your gear online

    On the Reserve page, choose a rental block and start date, then add the specific items you want. Items in your cart are held for 15 minutes while you book. Enter your details, review the rental terms, and pay online to confirm your reservation.

  2. Get your confirmation

    You'll get an email with your pickup window, the pickup address and a copy of your rental agreement to read ahead of time. We'll send a reminder about two days before pickup.

  3. Pick up and test together

    Come any time after 7:00 AM on your first day. We'll:

    • Check your photo ID
    • Charge the remaining balance to your credit card and keep it on file
    • Power everything on and walk you through the setup
    • Photograph the gear and sign the agreement

  4. Fish

    Use it anywhere in Minnesota for personal fishing. If something isn't working, stop using it and call or text us right away. Don't try to repair it.

  5. Return by the deadline

    Daily and Midweek rentals come back by 9:00 PM. Weekend and longer rentals come back by Monday at 12:00 PM. We inspect and photograph everything, and if all is well we remove your saved card.
